MEMPHIS, TN (localmemphis.com) Monday, commuters going to and from work on Interstate 40 west near 240 were greeted with a greater traffic grind in an area already plagued by gridlock for months. Saturday, the I-40 west flyover bridge opened one lane. A move that cut I-40 west lanes from four to three and caused even more of a bottleneck near I-240.
